The other day I was talking to one of my good friends. I can't remember who I was talking to, but they referenced a quote by Elder Robert D. Hales. It says, "A true friend makes it easier to live the gospel by being around them. A true friend does not make us choose between their way and the Lord's way.
I really like this quote. I think true friends should build each other up and be on their side. A true friend does not try and trap another or wish to see them fail. A true friend will, instead, help make up for your shortcomings and mistakes. I am grateful for some of the friends I have. Especially the ones that are true friends and who help me reach my goals. Those that want to include me in their plans and make me a better person by being around them.
I hope that I am a true friend. I always try and help those around me, and have a desire for all of my friends to succeed. I know I could do even more though, but today I was able to help one move. It felt good to know that someone knew they could count on me to help them when they needed it. I hope that I can continue to look for more frequent opportunities to help those around me. I have your back if you need it! No backstabbing here, I'll be there for you!
